Ulrich IX Jousting ArmorThis medieval armor originated in Milan, Italy (XV century) and was crafted for Ulrich IX, lord of Matsch. Ulrich’s body was so huge that he became the symbol of the invincible warrior and a hero in the Ariosto's and Boiardo's poems. This armor is hand crafted in Italy from 18-gauge steel. The pauldrons are made of articulated lames and trapezoidal tassets that are connected by straps. The large bassinet (helm) connects with the pouldron and provide a very narrow eye slit.
